Naomi and I would like to thank all of our customers who follow us on our travels. It really makes it more fun and worth while.
This time we are at High Point Market a furniture show in North Carolina. We have been here several times to find new furniture for Warmth Company, but this time we came to take classes and brush up on business and design skills! This is not always easy, because we would rather be shopping than sitting in class!

Like all good students, we got a break and dashed over to Shabby Chic by Miles Talbott. We were soothed by the soft, pretty flowers and colors of the showroom. We also enjoyed seeing new styles of sofas and colors/textures of fabrics.

Feeling hungry, we drove the car to our all time favorite showroom Cisco Brothers. Cisco was having a cocktail party for John Robshaw!

For us Cisco is the most creative and innovative of all the furniture we see.

He makes furniture for the way I want to live, beautifully with integrity and love.

It is perfect for the relaxed Santa Cruz lifestyle.

I could go on and on. There was so much beauty to see. While there, we met John Robshaw, the designer. Cisco just came out with a bed designed by him that we loved. Do you think we should have it at Warmth Company?

We ended the day with a lot to think of and feeling overwhelmed!
This sign made us happy!

In 2 Green makes signature throws, hats and socks from yarn spun from salvaged cotton clipping from industrial t-shirt manufacturers. Using a resource that already exists enables them to reduce their landfill use. Their products also help reduce the water, fertilizer and insecticides that are required to manufacture and produce in the conventional way. We love their patterns and colors and the wonderful feel of soft cotton.

Brian Appleton Furniture - Brian is a Bay Area carpenter and artist who loves to create furniture and other objects from relics gathered from flea markets, job sites of old Victorian houses, dumpsters and local garbage dumps. You name it, he finds it and recreates it! We love the hook racks for hanging clothing or scarves or bag collections and his coffee tables and console tables are some of our favorites!
These are just a few of our favorite Green companies that we love working with. Stop by, and always feel free to ask us about environmentally conscience products.

Meatless is a new cookbook filled with easy and delicious meals that your whole family will like. I recently brought this book home for review, and got straight to the work of trying recipes.

Recently I had the opportunity to work on a kitchen remodel with my husband who has his own construction business, Branagan Builders.

When Monica and I first purchased Warmth Company several years ago now, it was my fantasy that someday in the future Warmth Company would also be able to incorporate my husband’s talents along with my own passion for creating beautiful livingspaces. That dream has become a reality many times over. Having left the world of corporate housing developments, Tom saw an opportunity to work at what he is passionate about: craftsmanship building with integrity, honesty and creativity.
As my recent clients had just purchased their home, they were on a strict budget, which my husband welcomes as a challenge. We worked closely with them, listening to their heart and vision, helping them make their retreat a true expression of who they are.
I like to create a concept for my projects to help us hone-in the overall look so that when selecting cabinets, flooring, colors and such we can refer to it. Since the overall style of this retreat-house is Country French, and my clients work in Silicon Valley high tech, and like to cook for a hobby, I named the concept “Silicon Valley Couple's French Country Retreat Kitchen”.
The biggest challenge was to open up the wall between the dining room and kitchen, turning the focus of the overall space toward the amazing valley views of the dramatic coastal redwoods. Listening closely to the couple's design ideas and functional requirements, using the reliable and quality conscious subcontractors we have known and worked with for years, resulted in an amazing kitchen. This kitchen remodel is a reflection of my husband’s construction talents, quality products and my clients vision.
